Where Have I Been?!: A Life Update

Where Have I Been?!: A Life Update

My last few posts have made it quite obvious what's going on in my life - broken ankle! Yay! And the fact is, it's not been easy. I thought, when I first did it, that I'd spend my spare time getting super active on social, bashing out a load of posts and just generally making my blog super awesome. That's not how it's turned out though, for a number of reasons.

To begin with, sure, I got a few posts up, I was on social all the time, mainly because of boredom, but it was a start. Then it petered out. I started to work from home full-time, and I bean looking after the social media for my roller derby team for our new logo launch. My blog fell by the wayside because I've been doing so much computer work I need to do, I've lost the motivation to do the fun stuff.

Blogging is a fun hobby for me. I put my thoughts down, unfiltered, in a way I can't with any other writing in my life. This writing is me. The tone of voice I chose. The topics I want. Problem is, you've got to want to spend a few more hours a week sat in the same spot you were all day, on a laptop, typing. Quite honestly, I've needed a break from that.

So, what have I been doing? For a while I was pretty dosed up on painkillers and was tired from that and my body trying to heal, then I watched loads of telly. On weekends, there's been a ton of roller derby events (September is even busier), I've been to the the cinema loads too - any excuse to get out of the house. I recently started drawing again too.

Despite all of this, I do miss blogging and I guess this is me saying "hi" again. So, hello readers, I've been thinking about some blog/SEO/PR posts, another on menstrual cups, and maybe some on some of the masses of telly and films I've seen. Whatever it is, I'm back and I hope you like.
