My Christmas Decor
Christmas has arrived in the Crosbie/Spann household. I had a crappy day at work and decided that last night was the time to 'festivise' the house. We had loads of fun making the tree lurid and introducing Rocket dog to the wonders of artificial Christmas tree branches - he really wanted to chew them. Incidentally, the tree is on a table.
We have what I like to think is an amazing kitsch, trashy, pop culture, Christmas tree. With skulls, robots and at least one dog in a tutu. Chris I decided a year or two ago that we wanted an beautiful-ugly tree because it made us really happy. This tear we also have a fake moose head on the wall which is perfectly placed to make out tree look like it has antlers - it's wonderful.
We do have quite a lot of sentimental stuff too. I have collected several over the years from friends and family, so certain things always remind me of people or times in my life. There's a big sparkly, gold bauble that Chris' nana choose when we took her out for the day one year. She passed away that same Christmas, so every year we take out that bauble and it has a special spot on the tree.
